WILMA WIJERS SMEETS 06.03.1947 My first introduction to CCC FotoUnie was during the Schnitzel Hunt on November 17, 2015, in the forests of Nuenen. It turned out to be a wonderfully fun and convivial day. Soon after, I attended my first LEVITATION workshop, and I was warmly and spontaneously welcomed by Ki, Anna Yayang, and Albert. I immediately felt incredibly welcome. At that time, CCC FotoUnie was still located in Nuenen, in two houses where Ki had knocked down a wall to create more space. However, it quickly became too small for the many workshops he was giving. Plans were made to move to a larger building, which eventually became the location on Dragonstraat in Tilburg. After many renovations, it turned into a beautiful space. Jan and I had the pleasure of enjoying the Bali trip twice. What a wonderful time that was—full of laughter and countless photos. And not to forget the Sundays when we traveled by train with a large group to various cities to take photographs. During the COVID period, we each traveled in our own cars to places such as Nijmegen to take photos. We strictly kept our distance and picnicked there, each on our own blanket and far apart. Those were lovely times. Nowadays, I focus a lot on architectural photography. Jan and I visit many cities across Europe. It is a joy to do so, and something you can continue well into old age. I am very happy for Ki that his long-cherished wish to compile this photo book together with 100 photographers has come true, and I congratulate him on this achievement. Ki, thank you for the wonderful time and for all the great experiences I have been able to share with you and with so many others—and certainly will again in the future.
