I am
TON MARISAEL 02.11.1960 Around 1985 I started working with photography. At that time, I also completed a course at EDU Kempen to master photography and the associated technical skills. I enjoy reading photography magazines and books, and I regularly watch YouTube videos that help me improve my photography. There are two photographers from whom I have learned a great deal: Robert Wagenaar and Joris Knapen. Their photos inspire me, and I also followed a photography course with Robert. In addition, I completed a four-year Photoshop course. During my volunteer work for Natuurmonumenten, I often take photographs at events. I was also the official photographer for Sportvisserij Vlaanderen, where I photographed fishing competitions. For this, I even traveled to international matches and World Championships. Currently, I also create photo reportages for flower parades and equestrian events. I always try to be innovative and do not shy away from challenges. With my photos, I want to show that much more is possible than is sometimes expected. I prefer photographing early in the morning or in the evening, as the light is most beautiful then. Whether I go out alone or with friends, it is always a pleasure. Through the FotoFair, I became involved with Ki Tan and am currently also part of the management of Foto Unie and Foto Video Fair. I also give workshops myself and really enjoy creating my own props, such as a flour cannon. Additionally, I support Ki wherever I can. At the moment, I photograph with Canon D5 Mark III and R6 cameras, using various lenses. I also regularly use a drone. I do not have one specific favorite genre of photography, but I enjoy many different styles, such as high-speed photography, light painting, nature photography, and equestrian photography.
