I am
STEFANIE VAN DIJK On my 9th birthday, I received my first camera. I learned photography and how the darkroom worked from my father. Later, I took a few short courses and workshops, but Ive also done a lot of research on special techniques, how to apply them, and photo post-processing. In daily life, I work as a technical drafter. Im multidisciplinary but have a background in civil engineering. If I had to describe my photography style, a hot mess would probably suit me best. When I started looking for other forms of photography and workshops, I came across CCC Fotounie. I quickly became a member, as there are always fun new workshops being offered. What appeals to me about Fotounie is the friendly atmosphere and the freedom to share ideas during and after the workshops, which makes each session unique. The participants are always different, bringing new perspectives and contributions. I often go out shooting alone, but I also regularly go with photography friendssometimes people I met through Fotounie, but often with friends from the Digipelt photo club in my hometown of Pelt. Some photography I even do right at the kitchen table. I dont have specific photographers I learn from or a favorite genre, but when I see something I like, I research how it was done and what I need to create something similar myself. I collect locations that appeal to me, YouTube videos, inspiration images, and tutorials I find online. I dont really specialize in anythingI just find too many things fun. Other hobbies of mine include gardening (or just tinkering in the garden) and handicrafts (knitting, crocheting, embroidery all enjoyable).
