RUBY VAN ASSENDELFT 21.04.1960 About 14 years ago I started with photography. I am a true autodidact: I enjoy everything and want to try it all. Unfortunately, I don’t have that much time for it—maybe once every 4 to 6 weeks. I head out with a Nikon D7300. In every photo I search for the right composition and shape, in order to create an appealing image. During one of my motorcycle tours, I exchanged Facebook details with other riders. After a while, I saw some beautiful, creative photos appear on the page of one of them. I commented: “Wow, you take such beautiful photos. Did you take a course?” His answer revealed his secret: “I went to CCC.FotoUnie! You should follow Ki Tan After some years, I too stepped into the Dragon Studio and my eyes widened in amazement: a huge hall full of organized chaos! People were walking around everywhere, beautifully styled models, and weaving between everyone’s legs were dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs… oh yes, and somewhere in between were photographers, each seemingly doing their own thing. I decided to simply do my thing as well: set up my tripod, adjust my camera, and ask what the plan actually is. But of course… there is no plan! Everyone turned out to be incredibly kind and very helpful. This felt like the right place for me. Since then, I’ve completed various courses, workshops, Schnitzel Hunts, holidays—and even a membership.
