I am
MARION WILLEMS With an avidly photographing father, you can hardly avoid being infected by the photography bug. Especially with the development of digital photography, I became truly passionate about it. The freedom to shoot away, to view photos on the computer and edit them. I bought my first digital system camera, a Panasonic Lumix G7, and started taking photography courses. I joined a photo club where I became acquainted with many aspects of photography and learned a great deal. By now, in addition to an MFT camera, I also own a Canon R6 full-frame system camera. I regularly attend(ed) workshops to deepen my skills: flash photography, Lensbaby, macro, vintage lenses, portrait photography. And I attend lectures by other photographers. I often go out shooting with other photographers, but I also enjoy going alone. I learn a lot online and love experimenting with all kinds of techniques, such as ICM, long exposure, and Pep Ventosa. My employers also know how to find me for photography. For example, with my former employer I worked on a cookbook for people with swallowing difficulties. I also regularly photographed activities for the residents of the nursing home. At my current workplace, the office has been brightened up with my photo wallpaper. Through my work I visit care farms in beautiful locations. That also connects to my other passion: nature / outdoors / greenery / gardening. When Im working in the garden and spot a beautiful flower or little creature, I have to photograph it. Ultimate mindfulness: focusing on that creature, getting the settings right, focusing, checking the background, not breathing, not moving, no wind?, CLICKI love nature photography in all its forms, but Im increasingly drawn to portrait and street photography. Thats why the photos in this book were taken during my 2025 holiday in Morocco. Its exciting to unobtrusively capture beautiful people in their own surroundings. Facebook: Marion Willems
