I am
LINDA VAN DEN BOSSCHE 56 years old I am a Belgian photographer who graduated as a professional photographer in Brussels in 2023. In my daily life, I work as a finance and HR manager, but photography is far more than a hobby to me: it is my passion and my way of capturing the world as I experience it. My journey within FotoUnie played an important role in my development as a photographer. I experience it as an open and safe learning environment, where workshops are clearly explained and where mentors, such as Ki, take the time to reassure and guide participants. This approach provided me not only with technical knowledge, but above all with the confidence to continue exploring and experimenting. My education therefore does not end with obtaining a diploma: I continue to deepen my practice through workshops, excursions and photography trips in order to further develop my hands-on experience. My love for photography began while travelling. What started as intuitive image-making, gradually evolved into a conscious search for emotion and experience. I aim to capture the beauty of landscapes, portraits and tender moments within wildlife. I usually work with natural light, but I also deliberately use hard light when shadows and silhouettes enhance the image. I draw inspiration from photographers such as Roy Mangersnes, Tom D. Jones, Ansel Adams, Bart Heirman and Steve McCurry. For my wildlife projects, I take plenty of time. I work with patience and focus, waiting until the right moment presents itself. What matters is the emotion of the scene: strength, tension, an imposing presence or, on the contrary, tenderness. I want to convey that experience through my images, not to impress, but to allow viewers to feel how powerful, beautiful and valuable wildlife is in its natural environment. My camera equipment is Sony. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/fotografielindavdb Portfolio: https://lindavandenbossche.mypixieset.com
