JOLANDA VUIJK 26.06.1972 Born in Vlaardingen and a true Haringkopper. I am the owner of our jeans store in Vlaardingen and I completed an MBO vocational education. I can truly say that I am a creative, enthusiastic, energetic person. Playing my sport, table tennis, at TTV Scyedam in Schiedam has become an important part of my life. To take beautiful action photos of the Eredivisie team, I bought my own Nikon D90 DSLR camera in August 2010. In 2017, I upgraded and exchanged my camera for a Nikon D7200 DSLR. My first introduction to Ki Tan and his team was at Foto-Fair 2019 at Beekse Bergen. There, I attended a very fun workshop called “Colored Milk and Flour.” Every year after that, Foto-Fair was marked in my agenda, and a workshop by Ki was always a must. When I attended a “Bodypainting” workshop in Ki’s studio in Tilburg in 2022, I went home with a whole collection of “WOW photos.” Ki is extremely passionate and manages to add something new to his workshops every single time. Thanks to his hospitality, you immediately feel at home. In 2023, it was truly time to switch to a Nikon Z6II mirrorless system camera—and what an improvement that was. After attending a “Macro” workshop, I was completely blown away. I am always searching for small details that capture my attention. A dreamy atmosphere created through multiple exposure definitely helps with that. Often lying flat on the ground, I try to tell my own story about the subject. Flowers and mushrooms are my favorite subjects. It is incredibly special to see my photos featured in this amazing WOW project: The 100 PhotoFriends book.
