I am
EDWIN BROEKS My name is Edwin Broeks, and my official name is Pieter, alias Superzeeuw, Im 58 springs young. For me, photography is a way to relax and capture the world in my own way, something I have been doing for 46 years now. I started with an Agfa Isoly camera, which I still own to this day. Besides my R6 Mark II, I own the lenses: RF 24105mm f/4, RF 100mm f/2.8, EFS 1018mm wide-angle, EF 70200mm f/2.8 Mark II telephoto zoom, and the Sigma 150600mm superzoom. Over the years, I have built up my photography skills by gathering information from books and the internet, followed by lots and lots of practice. Along the way, I have tackled many different subjects and experimented extensively with my equipment to truly make it my own. As a result, I dont have a specific preference and I always say: I photograph everything I enjoy and whatever comes in front of my lens. Thanks to my autodidactic approach, I have been exposed to many facets of photography, which has led me to develop a broad range of interests. I therefore consider myself an all-round photographer. I dont like focusing on just one subject and becoming extremely good at itI am always looking for a new challenge. I nice anecdote: In the lighthouse in Westkapelle I got a private tour and was allowed to photograph the light itself. A few years later, during the lighthouses 200th anniversary, I was asked if they could use one of my photos for a special commemorative postage stamp. A few weeks later, I received a thank-you letter along with a set of unused stamps. A day later I realize that the envelope was actually stamped with my stampshow cool is that!
