Bennie Krajenbrink
Photographer

I am
BENNIE KRAJENBRINK 06-02-1959 My name is Bennie Krajenbrink. Because my parents thought I would be their last child, they named me Bennie, derived from Benjamin, although they actually would have preferred to call me Aquarius. However, two more children were born after me, so I was no longer the youngest. I was born in 1959 in Hansweert. Ihave been photographing since the age of 12. I started with a Kodak cassette camera that I received from my father, who was also a photographer. I never had any formal training in photography; I am completely self-taught. At the moment I mainly photograph Fine Art portraits during workshops, which I give together with a fellow photographer, as well as wildlife and pretty much anything that movesor doesnt. During my long-distance travels, I also enjoy doing street photography. In recent years I have traveled to Vietnam, South Africa, Sri Lanka, KenyaTanzania, Madagascar, Costa Rica, and Namibia. And in 2026 I will be traveling to the Lofoten Islands. I also enjoy spending time in bird hides to photograph species such as the kingfisher, common buzzard, goshawk, sparrowhawk, squirrels, and other animals. For a long time, I worked as a photographer for the weekly newspaper De Bode, through which I gained extensive experience in journalistic, sports, and event photography. After working for 40 years at SABIC (formerly General Plastics) in Bergen op Zoom as a process operator, I took early retirement on September 1, 2025. I currently photograph with a Nikon Z9 and a D5, along with a selection of lenses . Photography has become a part of my life. You start to look at the world in a completely different way. The feeling you get when youve taken a photo youre truly happy withand the editing has turned out just rightis indescribable. But the most beautiful photo? I still have yet to take it.
