I am
ANITA VERHOEVEN 1973 When I came to Dragonstudio six years ago, I had no idea that my entire life was about to change. After a difficult period in my life, I no longer saw myself the way the people around me saw me. I felt like a grey moth. During a conversation with the photographers, I told them about my past and how I saw myself in the mirror. They then asked me if I would like to take part in a photoshoot as a model. I felt very honored and said yes! When the day of the photoshoot arrived, I was extremely nervousso many photographers and so many lights. It was quite an experience: a little scary, but incredibly fun. The photographers immediately showed me some photos on their cameras, and I loved them. I couldnt wait until they were finished. When I received the photos, I could hardly believe that I was the woman in the pictures. I was so happy that I posted them straight away on Facebook and Instagram. All the positive reactions that followed helped me regain my self-confidence. I told Ki how happy I was and that I would love to pose more often. Many shoots followedtheme shoots with beautiful clothing and even artistic nude photography. I never thought I would dare to do the latter. All those positive reactions changed me. I started doing volunteer work at a care home, and together with my son I take care of the aviary there. It feels so good to see how grateful people are for our help. I also went back to school, earned my certificate as an experiential expert, and now give lectures, training sessions, and presentations. That gives me a lot of energy. I have changed from a grey moth into a colorful butterfly.
