ANGELIQUE JANSEN-MAIJEN 30-01-1968 I have been photographing since 2020. For my work, I created a new website. For this, it was useful to be able to take my own photos, so that a photographer did not have to be hired every time. I soon noticed that there was much more to photograph and that I really enjoyed doing it. In Jolanda, I found a pleasant photography buddy, and together we have gone on many outings. In addition, I became a member of a photography club in our village. When I go on holiday, my camera naturally comes along with great pleasure. I increasingly try to challenge myself by not taking the ‘standard’ holiday snapshots. After the holiday, it is pure enjoyment to look back at those photos, and a beautiful photo book is created. Over time, I started taking many workshops. During the Photo Fair in 2022, I came into contact with FotoUnie, and that’s when I really went all out. With great enthusiasm, I followed a wide variety of workshops with Ki and his team. At FotoUnie, I was able to create beautiful, unique photographs that you don’t easily make at home. I still can’t say which genre I like most. What I do notice is that while photographing, I forget all daily worries—it gives me the relaxation I need. My future plans are to create more ‘artworks’ from my photos. Last year, I therefore followed a year-long program with Ki. I learned so much in many areas, certainly also beyond photography. I see many opportunities for further growth in photography and Photoshop, which is why I am following another year-long program at FotoUnie this year as well.
